Hello, I’m Lindsay Kincaid — an educator, researcher, and nonprofit leader with 20+ years of experience designing programs that expand access and opportunity for learners around the world. I’m currently pursuing a PhD in Educational Studies at the University of Victoria, where my research focuses on equitable technology and place-based storytelling as pathways for civic engagement and critical inquiry. I also serve on the boards of Kenya Connect and OTESSA (Open/Technology in Education, Society, and Scholarship Association).

My career began in the classroom, where I spent ten years teaching English, video production, IB Film Studies, and spoken word poetry in a public high school in Kansas. Those years shaped my commitment to creativity, student voice, and teacher capacity. From there, I joined the CK-12 Foundation to develop open educational resources and scalable teacher training programs, and later became Chief Program Officer at Team4Tech, leading a global team and collaborating with NGOs and educators in more than 100 countries to design transformative learning opportunities. I’ve also coached master’s-level teachers as adjunct faculty at Johns Hopkins University and contributed to global education innovation as a LEAP Fellow with MIT Solve and the Jacobs Foundation.

Traveling and working across six continents has been pivotal in shaping my perspective as both a learner and educator. Along the way, I’ve also pursued my passion for photography and film — creative outlets that double as tools for education, storytelling, and social change.

My passion is designing equitable learning environments and advancing youth agency, teacher capacity, and social justice. I believe technology can foster unprecedented creativity and collaboration within education. I love building inclusive, engaged communities across geographies and generations. Reach out — I’d love to collaborate!
